Funding and Development

KoBoToolbox was created by a team of researchers now based at the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative and School of Public Health at Harvard University, and formerly at the UC Berkeley Human Rights Center and the Payson Center for International Development at Tulane University.

KoBoToolbox has also partnered with the De Novo Group, a nonprofit that takes promising university research and prototypes and further develops them into viable solutions that address the great challenges of developing regions.

The development of KoBoToolbox and its use in the field was made possible by grants from the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation.

Additional support for field projects and the development of KoBoMap was provided by Humanity United
